Visitor Guide
Attending Compass for the first time? You probably have some questions about our church… maybe questions like these:
Where DO YOU Meet?
What should I wear?
Casual clothes. Be comfortable!
What should I expect?
Expect to be surprised. Expect to be welcomed. Expect to hear the Bible read and explained in words that are familiar to you. Expect the spotlight to be pointed away from you, not toward you – so you can be at ease and better see who we are. You won’t be asked to give money. You won’t be told how to vote. And if your expectations of church come from what you see on TV, your experience at Compass won’t meet your expectations.
What's available for my kids?
We have creative, age appropriate programs for all ages. During our Sunday services, we have programs for nursery, toddlers, pre-school (3-4 years old), early elementary (K – 1st grade & 2nd-3rd grade) and pre-teen (4th – 5th grade).
What's available for my teenager?
Lots of stuff... both on Sunday and mid-week! Click here to check out what's happening.
How would you categorize Compass Church?
Compass is a Bible-believing, Christian, non-denominational church. About half of our church are people who are still trying to figure out God and the Bible and want clear answers. The other half are Christians who genuinely want to "live" their faith, get out of the stands and into the game, dig into the Bible with a passion to learn, and watch God work in them and through them.
What healthy food do you offer on Sundays?
There have been several fruits and vegetables sighted in our foyer… they’re hiding within the donuts, cinnamon rolls, cookies, pastries, and of course, the great coffee that’s served every Sunday.
What is the average age of compass attenders?
We have people of all ages, backgrounds and professions. The average age is probably 35 and the highest percentage of our people are probably couples with young kids… although we have plenty of 20-something singles, parents of teens and empty nesters.
What style of music do you play?
We play a variety of music… rock, pop, jazz, rhythm & blues. Our music is similar to what you might hear on K-LOVE (90.5) or AIR ONE (89.3).
