About Us
JULIE COULTER
Julie was born right here in Bend, a second generation Bendite, and her family ties to Central Oregon dates back to the early 1900’s. She graduated when there was only one three year high school and only two junior high schools, (not middle school). Woking with children has always been a part of her life. As a sixth grader, tutoring 2nd graders in reading embedded the love of teaching into her heart. She graduated from Western Oregon State College with a degree in Elementary Education. After graduation she took a one year teaching position in Dayville, Oregon. For the next 17 years, Julie taught in a small school district at the base of the southern Cascades between Crater Lake and Medford. She taught all grades k-6 in some capacity at some time during those 17 years.
Christ has been a very important part of her life since she was young. To use that love of her Lord and the passion of working with children adds great joy to her life.
