Matt was born in Concord, MA. Yup, the very same Concord that played such a crucial role in the American Revolution. Raised only 20 Miles away from Boston, Matt is a huge Boston sports fan. Whether it's red, blue, black or green you know that Matt is wearing something supporting the Sox (Red not White), Patriots, Bruins (Hockey, not UCLA) or Celtics. Although these team sports are fun to watch, Matt found his athletic calling in Track & Field. Trying out for the high school team his junior year, Matt found the hurdles to be a great way to finance college at Westfield State College, now University. Majoring in Mathematics, Secondary Education and minoring in Psychology, Matt kept himself busy throughout College.

After graduating, Matt began teaching and coaching at a Boston area high school and felt at home in Massachusetts until meeting a fine, young lady from Oregon Named Hillary. Matt & Hillary got married on Feb 18th, 2006 (in case you want to buy them stuff and need a reason). After 3 years, Matt and Hillary decided to move back to her home state of Oregon. Now in Bend for over 2 years, Matt and Hillary call it home. Matt and Hillary welcomed Awbrey into the world on September 2nd, 2010, yup 9/02/10 for all the Beverly Hills fans out there. Matt and Hillary are very excited to be at Compass working with the great minds of tomorrow.
