With a population of over 80,000, Bend is the sixth fastest growing metropolitan area in the United States.  The beautiful Cascade Mountains to the west and the high desert to the east give Bend sunny weather and unmatched views.  The people in Bend love the outdoors... and with all the lakes, rivers, hiking and biking trails, golf courses, ski slopes, mountain climbing and dirt bike riding, there’s plenty to satisfy even the most versatile sportsman.

Two national publications have identified Oregon as the state with the second lowest percentage of people who go to church (Vermont wins... or loses depending upon your perspective).  In Oregon, Christianity is greeted with either apathy or antagonism --- publicly and governmentally. So... Compass is located right where we want to be!  We have an incredible opportunity to cut through the barriers that religion puts up and show people the truth and grace of Jesus Christ.
