About Us
Mille Nolan
If you get flowers, a cookie basket, a card, or some other gift at your door that brightens your day, chances are it's that lady in the red bug. Yes, our own Millie Nolan takes good care of the people at Compass who need encouragement or just a friendly face. Millie, and her husband Tom, first came to Compass in 2005. Tom quickly got involved with the Welcome Team, greeting people at the front door each Sunday so he could talk with the "guys" about their motorcycles. Long time Christians, they first learned about Jesus in high school where Tom joined Young Life. He brought along his high school sweetheart, Millie, to the meetings each week. It wasn't until several years of marriage and 2 young boys later that the Nolans really began putting Jesus first in their lives.
Tom was always a good servant for the Lord and loved helping others. Millie's heart wasn't into it as much until Tom's sudden death on January 4, 2007 of leukemia. Millie was touched by others who came along side her and wanted to give back. Serving in the Care Ministry seemed like the perfect way. Baking cookies and delivering flowers are a huge comfort now to Millie as she adjusts to life as a widow after 40 years of marriage. She is loved by all in her Compass family!
