Matt Komar

Matt is Drew's first hire at Compass -- and boy did we hit the jackpot!  Born and raised in the far away land of Ohio, Matt graduated from Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania with a degree in English.  In college, he was captain of Allegheny’s football team and served as co-president of Campus Crusade for Christ at Allegheny.  Matt’s most valuable experiences came through the mission trips he took to Jamaica where God taught him the vital truths about serving Him.  Matt married his college sweetheart Robyn.  She is the biggest blessing in his life and his biggest fan, strongest supporter, and best friend. They are excited about being in Bend and the wonderful opportunity God has called them to – reaching students for Christ in a place where not many people go to church.  Matt is far away from his parents Gus and Joan and his siblings Frank, Sara, Grace, Rachel, and Abby, and misses them dearly; but he loves his wonderful 2nd family at Compass.
