Our Profile
People tell us that we’re not a normal church. What does that mean? We're not sure. We do know that there’s a passion, an excitement, an energy that defines our church every time we’re together – whether on Sunday or at an event or in our small groups that meet throughout the week.
Maybe it’s because we LOVE getting together… learning together… laughing together… serving together… doing life together. Maybe it’s because we all have the same focus. Not religion. Not rules. Not rituals. Our focus is a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
It’s interesting… churches, like people, have their own unique DNA that identifies who they are. It’s no different at Compass. What we value, what we love, what we get excited about is all incorporated into our DNA... which is described below.

We’re not about traditions or religion. We’re about a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ. We don’t take ourselves too seriously (we actually have fun), but we’re serious about God and our desire to draw closer to Him.

We’re not interested in “playing” church. We’re here because we need each other. We’re here to be a practical, relevant and positive influence in each other’s lives and the lives of the people in Central Oregon. And we’re passionate about studying and teaching the Bible – which we believe is the God-inspired blueprint for how to live our lives.

We love reaching out, making new friends, and building bridges – not barriers – with the people in our community, our region and the world. We enthusiastically welcome anyone – regardless of background, past decisions, present circumstances, who you voted for, what TV shows you watch, or whether or not you’ve ever even been to church.
