About Us
Ian Amman
Ian has been a blessing to Compass from the moment he arrived two years ago. He leads our Powerhouse ministry for elementary school age kids and, during the week, works on staff in our high school group. He is originally from Pittsburgh, PA and graduated from Allegheny College with his best friend – our youth pastor, Matt Komar. Ian’s mom, Janice, raised him and his half brother and sisters (Kristen – 42, Marsha – 41, Randy – 40) as a single parent. Ian says, “My mom inspires me. She’s unbelievable! I don’t know how she did it with so much joy, enthusiasm and grace.”
Ian’s mother and Matt Komar are the two main reasons why Ian has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Ian is excited about working with the kids at Compass. He also teaches English and coaches football at Mountain View High School.
